The University of Wyoming men's golf team was honored as a 2018-19 All-Academic team Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. It marked the 10th year in a row the Cowboys golf team had been recognized for its excellence in the classroom.

The 2018-19 team was comprised of senior John Murdock (Laramie); junior Dan Starzinski; sophomore Carl Underwood; redshirt freshman Jared Edeen (Cheyenne Central); and freshmen Kirby Coe-Kirkham (Sheridan), Jimmy Dales, Tyler Severin and Liam Clancy.

“We emphasize to our student-athletes how important academics is from the time they first join our program," Joe Jensen, University of Wyoming Director of Golf and head men’s golf coach, said in a release. "We set high expectations for them on and off the course, and again this year they have worked hard to meet those expectations."

The Cowboys finished the academic year with a 3.461 GPA.
