University of Wyoming senior Ja'la Henderson was named the Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Henderson won the triple jump at the Doug Max Invitational on Sunday in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a mark of 42 feet, 4.25 inches.

Henderson, who has cleared 40 feet in all four outdoor competitions this outdoor season, currently has the No. 1 mark in the Mountain West and the No. 23 mark in the nation in the triple jump.
