University of Wyoming senior Michaela Stark was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Stark, a native of Broomfield, Colorado, scored two goals Sunday to lead the Cowgirls (2-1-2) to a 4-1 home victory over Idaho State.

“I’m really happy for Michaela, who had an outstanding game on Sunday against Idaho State,” UW head coach Pete Cuadrado said in a release. “When the team is successful, individuals earn awards.”

The two goals were the first of the season for Stark, who now has 11 for her career.
