The University of Wyoming men's and women's swim teams both went 1-1 at a quad meet in San Diego on Thursday.

The Cowgirls defeated Incarnate Word 199-55 and lost 150-143 to UC San Diego while the men's team beat Incarnate Word 148-113 and lost 157.5-130.5 to UC San Diego.

For the Cowgirls, sophomore Hannah McLean-Leonard won both the 100 and 200 butterfly. Also picking up individual wins were Daniela Luna Rocha (1650 free), Lainee Jones (200 free), Samantha Burke (100 back), Isobel Ryan (50 free) and Marcela Gramcko Wiestruck (200 back).

The Cowboys' individual winners were: Seth Borgert (1650 free), Tyler Klatt (100 back), Liam Holt (200 breast) and Miller Browne (500 free).

Both teams return to the pool Saturday when they take on Grand Canyon University and California Baptist.
