The University of Wyoming volleyball program received an addition signing on Thursday in the form of a transfer, setter Kyra Slavik. The rising sophomore comes to Laramie via Ohio University and is expected to enroll at Wyoming for the spring semester.

Slavik appeared in nine matches as a freshman last year, averaging 3.89 assists per set. She's a former Under Armour Players To Watch honoree and PrepVolleyball.com 16 Open Star Search List honoree.

"We are excited to welcome Kyra to Wyoming," head coach Chad Callihan said in a statement. "She has competed at a high level in club and has gained experience at the collegiate level. She's a hard worker and a tenacious defender, but we're most excited about her competitive spirit."
