The University of Wyoming volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23, 24-22) exhibition match to Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday night in Cheyenne.

Seniors Tara Traphagan and Haile McArdle and freshman KC McMahon all had double-digit kills for the Cowgirls while redshirt freshman Carlie Fikse led the team in blocks.

“It’s an exhibition match, and we played every kid,” UW head coach Chad Callihan said in a release. “It was good for us to get everyone in. We had five kids that have never played in a match for us, so we got them all time. It gives us a ton to see and work on. I was actually somewhat pleased with what we did tonight."

Wyoming opens the regular season Friday when they play at Colorado in the Buffs Invitational.
