The University of Wyoming women's golf team had a 326 in the final round of the Mountain West Championship on Wednesday in Rancho Mirage, California, to finish at the bottom of the nine-team field.

The Cowgirls opened the tournament at the Mission Hills Country Club with a 313 and followed that with a 319 before Thursday's final round.

Junior Erin Sargent led the Cowgirls with a 16-over 232 to finish in a tie for 15th. Rounding out the UW lineup were Megan Knadler with a 20-over 236, Kaylee Knadler with a 30-over 246, Samantha Hui with a 35-over 251 and Caitlyn Skavdahl with a 39-over 255.

San Diego State won the team title with a 904 to edge Nevada by one stroke. Fresno State's Brigitte Thibault was the individual medalist with a 217.
