The University of Wyoming women's golf team will be in Rancho Mirage, California, beginning Monday to compete in the Mountain West Championship.

The Cowgirls are coming off an 11th-place finish at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic earlier this week in Arizona.

Leading the way for Wyoming at the nine-team MW Championship is junior Erin Sargent, who finished 23rd at the Cowgirl Classic. Following her in the UW lineup are senior Megan Knadler, junior Kaylee Knadler, sophomore Caitlyn Skavdahl and freshman Samantha Hui.

Wyoming finished eighth at last year's MW Championship.
