The University of Wyoming women's golf team dropped to seventh place at the Mountain West Championship on Tuesday at Rancho Mirage, California.

The Cowgirls carded a 319 on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club to give them a two-round total of 632 (56 over par). San Diego State leads the MW Championship with a 22-over 598.

Leading the way for UW is junior Erin Sargent, who birdied two of her final five holes to shoot a 75 and give her a two-round total of 7-over 151, which puts her in a tie for ninth.

Also for the Cowgirls, Megan Knadler has a 14-over 158, Kaylee Knadler is at 17-over 161, Samantha Hui has a 21-over 165 and Caitlyn Skavdahl is at 29-over 173.
