The University of Wyoming wrestling team will take to the mats Thursday to officially begin the 2019-20 season.

The Cowboys welcome back six NCAA qualifiers from last year's team: Cole Verner (Green River) at 125 pounds, Montorie Bridges at 133, Sam Turner at 141, Hayden Hastings (Sheridan) at 174, Tate Samuelson at 184 and Brian Andrews at heavyweight. Bridges and Turner are both ranked in the Top 10 by WIN magazine.

Head coach Mark Branch, who has a 116-53 dual record at UW, returns for his 12th season.

Wyoming begins competition by hosting the Cowboy Open on Nov. 2.
