Casper native Rachel Calar was recently chosen to play in the 2019 Women's Football Alliance All-America Game, which takes place Saturday at 3 p.m. in Golden, Colorado, at the home of Colorado School Of Mines.

A 2009 graduate of Kelly Walsh, Calar plays for the Nashville Music City Mizfits in the Women's Football Alliance, a semi-pro women's football league. She will play on the offensive line in the all-star game, which will combine players from across the league's 69 affiliated teams. She's already earned All-American honors this season.

Calar, who also attended Pineview Elementary and Centennial Middle School in Casper, started playing with the Music City Mizfits in 2016. While she'll play on the offensive line in Saturday's all-star game, she also plays defense for the Mizfits and tallied 14 tackles, 2 for loss, in the 2019 season.
