Pending board approval, Gillette was set to name Andrew Rose as its new football coach, according to wyoming-football.com.

Rose, an assistant coach for the Camels last year, was expected to be approved at Tuesday night's Campbell County School District No. 1 board meeting.

He would replace Micah Christensen, who resigned in January after coaching the Camels for the past two years. Gillette has lost 19 consecutive games in Class 4A and failed to qualify for the playoffs the past two seasons after making the postseason every year from 1989-2016.
