Thunder Basin at Kelly Walsh

RIGHT THE SHIP: Kelly Walsh’s once promising season has taken a drastic turn with the Trojans having lost four games in a row. For now, they are still in the playoff picture, but they need to build some momentum in order to avoid a quick exit.

REMATCH IN THE MAKING?: KW defeated Thunder Basin twice last season (regular season and quarterfinals) and there’s a good chance the teams could meet again in the playoffs. The Bolts are battling East and Natrona County for the No. 1 seed while KW currently holds down the No. 8 seed.

AIR RAID: With QB Mason Hamilton leading the charge, the Bolts lead the state with 273.4 passing ypg, including 375 vs. Natrona County and 363 vs. Sheridan. KW has held opponents to 119.0 passing ypg, but has just two sacks on the season. The Trojans need to generate a pass rush.

CONTROL THE CLOCK: The Trojans’ best defense against the Thunder Basin passing attack will likely be its running game. If Brock Spiegelberg (992 yards rushing) gets going, Kelly Walsh can sustain drives and keep the Bolts offense off the field.
