Casper Oilers

The Casper Oilers' first trip to the American Legion Baseball AA Northwest Regional tournament in 23 years got off to a rough start Wednesday in Lewiston, Idaho.

Idaho Falls' Randon Hostart tossed a six-inning no-hitter and Idaho Falls scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 10-0 victory.

Casper starting pitcher Corbin Kirk allowed two hits and two earned runs in just 2 1/3 innings. Kirk also walked three and struck out three.

Zander McFee came on in relief and only gave up three hits, but walked seven and threw three wild pitches as he was tagged for seven earned runs.

The Oilers will try to stay alive Thursday morning when they face Juneau, Alaska, at 9:30.
