Thunder Basin senior Isaac Howell was named the Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year for the state of Wyoming on Thursday.

Howell, a midfielder for the Bolts, had 12 goals and seven assists on the season. He helped lead Thunder Basin (16-1-1) to an undefeated regular season and a berth in the Class 4A state championship game, where the Bolts lost to Jackson.

Howell was a two-time all-state selection for the Bolts. He also earned all-conference honors at Gillette as a sophomore.
