Lander junior swimming standout Jonny Kulow competed in his fourth and final event at the 2019 Speedo Winter Junior Nationals in Federal Way, Washington, on Saturday, and scored his best finish of the event.

Kulow swam the prelims of the 100 free in 45.25 seconds. That was the second-best time recorded by a 15-year old in the event’s prelims.

The eight-time state champion previously swam in the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 back throughout Thursday and Friday. He was the only Wyomingite to compete in the three-day event.

Kulow will rejoin his Lander teammates in the upcoming week with the Tigers having began their season on Friday.
