At Brainerd, Minn., Casper's Kris Hool lost in the semifinal round of the Top Alcohol Funny Car race at the Lucas Oil National Hot Rod Association Nationals on Sunday.

Hool was the No. 6 qualifier after the first run, but moved up to the No. 2 spot after a solid second run.

Hool defeated Dave Allison in Elimination Round 1 to earn a spot in the semifinals. Despite being the No. 2 seed, he faced top qualifier Frank Manzo in the semis and was never able to catch the eventual winner.
