The Wyoming Cavalry defense fared better, but the Cavs failed to stop the Chicago Slaughter's win streak in a 33-20 loss on Friday night at the Casper Events Center.
The Slaughter, winners of five straight, took the lead at 13-7 after a Cody Kirby 5-yard touchdown pass. The Cavs cut the Slaughter's lead to 26-20 when Barney O'Donnell connected with Troy Evans on an 8-yard touchdown pass. But Chicago's Chris Johnson returned an interception 13 yards for the game's final score.
Wyoming dropped to 1-5, while Chicago moves to 5-2.
O'Donnell finished with 98 yards passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
