Bareback bronc rider Clayton Biglow of Clements, California, gets a hold of Monkey Mistress as he prepares to leave the chute Wednesday at the Central Wyoming Rodeo in Casper.

With Cowboy Christmas winding down, a number of competitors are passing through Wyoming this week to compete in the Central Wyoming Rodeo in Casper and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo.

Both rodeos have their final go-round Saturday, meaning cowboys and cowgirls who make the short go at both will have to make a decision. Through Wednesday's performances, barrel racer Michelle Darling of Medford, Oklahoma, is the only competitor facing that situation as she leads in Casper and sits third in Sheridan.

Other leaders at the Central Wyoming Rodeo are bareback bronc rider Grant Denny, steer wrestler Cameron Morman, team ropers Jr. Dees and Cody Cowden, saddle bronc riders Spencer Wright and Jake Watson, tie-down roper Marshall Leonard and bull rider Boudreaux Campbell.
