Casper native Ty Blasingame and teammate Kyle Lockett won the shootout championship in team roping at the Houston Rodeo Super Series on Saturday.

Blasingame headed as the team advanced through the first three rounds in late February before tallying a 5.2-second run in the semifinals to make Saturday's final. They roped a 5.4 in the championship to qualify them for the championship shootout, where they won with a 5.0-second run.

With the event now complete, Blasingame and Lockett accrued a total winnings of $111,500.
