TIM BINGHAM, Hill College: Competing in his first CNFR, the junior took the early lead in bull riding with an 83.5-point ride aboard Cowboy Compactor.

KIMBERLYN FEHRINGER-FITCH, Idaho State: The freshman came into the CNFR leading the nation in the breakaway roping and won the first go-round with a time of 2.5 seconds.

KELSEY LUTJEN, Central Arizona College: The three-event cowgirl was second in the breakaway with a 2.6-second run.

JESUS GONZALEZ, Mesalands Community College: The bull rider scored just 44 points with the option for a re-ride, but chose not to take it and placed 11th in the first go.

JOEY PAINTER, Black Hills State: The defending breakaway roping champ had a no-time in the first go-round.

TREY BENTON, Sam Houston State: After tying for fourth place last year and placing ninth at the NFR in December, the junior failed to make the buzzer on Bobby Brown.

CAIN SMITH, Walla Walla Community College: The bull rider just missed making a qualifying ride as he stayed atop Frontier Rodeo Company’s Harlem Nights for 7.73 seconds.

KACEY STRUXNESS, Missouri Valley College: The breakaway roper would have placed in the top six in the first go with a time of 3.0 seconds, but broke the barrier and finished with a 13.0
