With two performances of the second go-round complete, Gillette's Shay Hough leads the pole bending average at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs.

Hough, last year's all-around champ, has a two-run time of 40.380 seconds. Sheridan's Ellie Bard is 14th in the average with a 41.720.

Other Wyoming competitors sitting in the Top 20 in the average with four performances remaining are: Baggs bareback bronc rider Riggen Myers (5th); Torrington tie-down roper Cole Lane (6th); team ropers Tanner McInerney from Alzada, Montana, and Weston Mills from Gillette (8th); and Riverton goat tyer Elsie Campbell (9th).

In boys cutting, Gillette's Hunter Hayden is eighth and Casper's Wes Bray is 15th. And in the reined cow horse competition Saratoga's Kasen York is 13th and Evanston's Lance Evans is tied for 17th.
