Thanks to state-of-the-art bowling equipment, exciting new arcade games and fresh chef-prepared food, Boomtown Blast has transformed the bowling alley experience.
Country music and soft classic rock set a mellow tone for daytime, but come six o’clock the music amps up, the black lights come on, and everything is stunningly illuminated. Even the bowling balls and kid-friendly dinosaur ramps begin to glow.
“We’re also customer-first here, so if there are little kids at the lanes, we’ll make sure that the music’s appropriate for them,” said Tanner Bekke, the general manager. “We also offer a jukebox experience through the TouchTunes app, which lets you choose the songs you want to hear.”
What else is new and different at Boomtown Blast? Here’s what sets them apart from the rest.
An impressive choice of enhanced bowling experiences
You can always enjoy classic bowling here, but with arcade-like enhancements and a new 64-foot TV screen above the lanes, you can really pump up the fun.
“The Monster Factory game is really popular with families,” said Bekke. “A monster will appear on the screen and, depending on which pins you knock down, you can add new accessories and create your own special monster. After the game, you can take home a full-color printout of it.”
Other bowling themes you can choose from include dinosaurs, fairy tales, disco and the Lan Yan battle characters. You can also take photos of yourself, your friends and family, and see them up on the big screen.
Open bowling — and lower prices — on weekdays
There are no leagues monopolizing the lanes on weekdays, so it’s easy to make a reservation or even walk in and add some fun to your usual routine.
If, like most people these days, you’re budget-minded, you can save big with low-priced weekday bowling, Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. And no matter where you live or work — east, west or on the mountain — Boomtown Blast in the Sunrise Shopping Center is easy to get to.
Exciting new arcade games, great prizes
In addition to favorites like Mario Kart, Jurassic Park, Space Invaders and Halo, two exceptional new games have been added — the massive Minecraft Dungeons Arcade game and Deal or No Deal. Plus Boomtown Blast has slashed their prices. This gives their guests more fun time and value for their money.
“Minecraft is a four-player game, so you and your buddies can play it together,” said Bekke. “Coming from my generation, it’s like sitting on the couch playing with your best friends, which is always more fun than just playing online.”
And when you play Minecraft, you can earn bonus cards, then use them to give your characters perks and special abilities.
Deal or No Deal is played exactly like the television show. You’ll choose briefcases that may award you with tons of tickets, just a few or none at all. The tickets you could win can be redeemed for some amazing prizes, including Nintendo Switch systems and smart TVs.
The freshest, chef-prepared food
Even a hot-tempered TV chef would be delighted with the food at Boomtown Blast. Instead of premade and frozen food, the made-from-scratch pizza dough is hand-tossed, the chicken strips are hand-breaded, and many of the sauces, like the Asian-inspired firecracker sauce, are made in house. And don’t miss Taco Tuesdays, when tacos are just $1 for beef and $2 for chicken.
