Football season’s kicking off, and there’s no better place to catch all the big matchups than Boomtown Blast. Whether your loyalties lie with local university or pro teams, Casper’s hottest entertainment hub screens all the action on large projection TVs for ultimate game day fun.
“Where else can you watch not just one, but all the games you want to see at once?” asked Boomtown Blast manager Tanner Bekke. “When you add in great food and drink specials, bowling and arcade games, it’s easy to see we deliver a one-of-a-kind sports viewing experience you just can’t find anywhere else.”
Bekke is now managing the original Sunrise Lanes and the Colonial restaurant site that opened in Casper back in 1962. He and the local owners worked to breathe new life into the local landmark through an extensive renovation three years prior. Renaming the property Boomtown Blast is a nod to the region’s mining history. The venue now boasts 16 updated bowling lanes, a contemporary bar and grill, and a massive 4,000 square-foot area dedicated to gaming space.
“We have all of the most popular video and arcade games for guests to enjoy before or after the big game and during halftime,” Bekke said. “There’s everything from traditional classics like Space Invaders, Mario Kart and Jurassic Park to Angry Birds Coin Crash, Halo, Minecraft Dungeon Master and other modern favorites.”
All guests have to do is load up a game card using the cashless debit system, and then they’re ready to swipe and play. With every game, players earn points they can later exchange for SpongeBob Krabby Patty-making stations, Nintendo Switches, smart TVs and other rewards at the on-site redemption store.
Skee-Ball, crane game machines and additional merchandiser options round out Boomtown Blast’s appealing range of family-friendly entertainment, and customers can even choose songs via a TouchTunes jukebox app to create their own perfect background soundtrack.
What would game day be without some tasty snacks? Boomtown Blast scores big with a recently expanded menu that features pizzas, burgers and nachos, as well as some new mouthwatering promotions like Meatball Sub Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Wing Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays. Friday’s “Game and Grub” special — two large one-topping pizzas, a pitcher of soda and $10 in arcade credit — is ideal for sharing with friends, family or fellow sports fans. Delicious surf-and-turf kebabs loaded up with steak, shrimp and veggies provide even more reason to pay a visit on the weekends.
“Our hand-breaded chicken strips have earned quite a fan following,” Bekke added. “We also make fresh dough for all our pizzas in-house.”
Soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails are always available from Boomtown Blast’s full-service bar, and draft beers are half price during late-night happy hours from 9 to 11 p.m. Additionally, they offer discounted food and refreshments during prime-time sporting events, including these featured game day deals:
