The 250th anniversary of our nation is here, bringing a full week of events and activities in Casper and the surrounding area. Here’s a look at what’s happening and how you can take part.
Celebrate our nation
July 1: America 250 trivia night at the Natrona County Public Library at 6 p.m.
July 2: Thursday Night ArtWalk at ART321 starting at 5:30 p.m.
July 2: 250th Celebration Lighting Ceremony at CitiWerks starting at 8 p.m. after the ArtWalk concludes.
July 3: Pioneer Music with Hank Cramer at Fort Caspar Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
July 4: Bar Nunn parade starting at 11 a.m. The parade will start on the east side of McMurry Boulevard then travel south on Antelope Drive.
July 4: Go West Young Nation! A Freedom 250 Celebration at Fort Caspar Museum from 11 a.m. to noon.

July 2: Paddle on the Pond at Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park from 2 to 4 p.m. The park will provide watercraft, life jackets and instruction.
July 3: Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo carnival opens at 3 p.m. The carnival runs through July 11.
July 4: Casper Spuds vs. Spearfish Sasquatch at Mike Lansing Field starting at 6 p.m. There will be food eating contests, baseball and a live auction.
July 4: 307 Throwdown Demo Derby at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds from 5 to 8 p.m.
July 4: Sidewalk Chalk Festival on Second Street between Center and David streets from 8 a.m. to noon.
